And according to data from the NPD Group, it just had its best October ever, moving 735,926 units of both the Switch and Switch Lite in the US. This week, Peloton announced a multi-year partnership with cultural phenomenon Beyoncé — the artist will help curate classes for the fitness company’s subscription service, starting with a series of Homecoming-themed classes in honor of historically Black colleges and universities. The reason, according for the company, is that it hasn’t heard from the committee in weeks about an imminent deadline for parent company ByteDance to sell off US assets. The CFIUS set the deadline of November 12th for TikTok to divest itself of “any tangible or intangible assets or property, wherever located, used to enable or support ByteDance’s operation of the TikTok application in the United States.” TikTok says it applied for a 30-day extension that was permitted in the CFIUS’ order, but hasn’t received any communication on the matter. The lawsuits are still playing out, but here’s a small positive: Epic announced last Friday that your V-Bucks stranded on the macOS and iOS versions of Fortnite will be honored and credited to your account so you can spend them on other platforms. Epic says that players who purchased V-Bucks on iOS and macOS should receive their credit by today, November 9th. A spokesperson from Amazon confirmed to CNBC that the Flex Rewards program is in its early stages, but is being rolled out to all drivers in the US. As well as access to shifts, the program also includes access to a cash back debit card , as well as discounts and financial services. Bloomberg reports that Apple found Pegatron to be falsifying paperwork in order to cover up violations of Apple’s code of conduct for suppliers. Pegatron is one of Apple’s biggest supply chain partners, manufacturing various products including some of the newest iPhone 12 models. Reviews for Sony’s PlayStation 5 dropped today, a few days after Microsoft’s Xbox Series X, and while I’ve only personally tested the latter , I wanted to round up what people are saying about Sony’s console as well. Typically, when new consoles launch, you get a lot of comparison and contrast between the two new solutions. The Xbox One launched with a major feature (Kinect support) that the PS4 lacked, while the PS4 had the edge in gaming. During the previous generation’s launch, the Xbox 360 eschewed features like Blu-ray and hardware backwards compatibility, while the PS3 had both. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X launches feel much more similar to each other, and that’s not just because consoles are becoming ever-more PC-like and therefore similar to each other.
