The second run took place at the NASA runway in Florida, according to Motor Authority , on December 12 and 13. Despite the car achieving a speed of 251.2 mph, the rest of the run had to be abandoned because two of the engine's cylinders weren't firing properly, likely due to overheating. He had delayed signing the spending bill authorizing the checks in an attempt to pressure Congress to increase the figure. But, faced with a looming government shutdown, he signed the bill on December 27. Without the threat of a veto, and with firm opposition from McConnell, Trump has nowhere to go.
