This month, the shelves are stocked with everything from delicious treats to adorable sweaters . Here are seven items that caught my eye. I'm a big fan of the Bakery Street churro cupcakes. Veronica Thatcher The Bakery Street churro cupcakes taste just like a classic cinnamon churro, with soft, moist cake filled with dulce-de-leche-flavored whipped cream. These are especially good when paired with c...

Robinson quit OpenAI this week and said the AI giant is moving too fast without regard for safety. Robinson said he would now work from outside the company to strengthen safety incentives. David Robinson, a leader on OpenAI's Safety Systems team who quit the company this week, once had ambitions to bring philosophy to journalism. I've been to Cancún countless times — but I prefer this quieter island about 30 minutes away

Image
Isla Mujeres offered gorgeous food, great views, and fewer crowds than Cancún. Kaila Yu I love visiting Cancún , but I've been on the hunt for a similar spot that has fewer crowds. Recently, I fell in love with Isla Mujeres, an island near Cancún that has great food and beaches. I think Isla Mujeres is a perfect spot for fans of Cancún who want a beach trip with less nightlife. I love Cancún's balmy, multi-blue-toned water, but I'm less fond of the crowds, nightlife, and traffic. These days, when I travel, I want as much peace and nature as possible, from calming ocean waves to the squeaky chatter of local birds. I've been to Cancún countless times, but recently visited the nearby Isla Mujeres for the first time — and found it to be the quiet, tropical escape that I needed. This island is just a 30-minute boat ride from Cancún, but it feels worlds away. It's also much smaller — the entire island of Isla Mujeres is 5 miles long, less than half of Cancún's Hotel Z...
