It's the fourth and final day of Amazon Prime Day, which means that it's the last chance to get many of the best Prime Day monitor deals. I've been evaluating tech products for over a decade, and I've covered every Prime Day event since the first sale in 2015. All that experience helps me separate the good Prime Day deals from the ones that you can definitely skip. I'm keeping track of all the top monitor deals at this year's event, whether you're looking to upgrade your gaming or work-from-home setups.

I've witnessed a few discounts go up and down over the past couple of days, with select models getting somewhat cheaper while other deals got a bit pricier. For instance, Samsung's 34-inch ViewFinity UltraWide monitor is actually $15 less than it was when Prime Day began. It's now $385, which is just $5 shy of its all-time low of $380. The Philips 24-inch monitor dropped an additional $11 after the start of Prime Day, bringing it down ot an all-time low price of $64.

If you're shopping for a gaming monitor, I suggest checking out this 30% discount on Asus' 26.5-inch ROG Strix OLED display. This kind of panel delivers much higher contrast than a standard LED monitor, making it a great pick for gamers.

Prime Day ends on June 26, so it's the final opportunity to shop for most of these deals. If you're interested in purchasing an even larger display, you can head over to our round-up of the best Prime Day TV deals. And if you're looking for a new computer altogether, our roundups of the best Prime Day laptop deals and best Prime Day MacBook deals might be worth perusing.

These gaming monitors all deliver advanced features geared toward providing a smooth, high-contrast image. OLED models, like LG's 32-inch UltraGear, have especially strong picture quality, making them ideal for gamers and media enthusiasts.

Prime Day monitor FAQs

What's the difference between a standard monitor and a gaming monitor?

A standard monitor is built for everyday tasks like browsing the web, drafting documents, streaming videos, and basic photo editing. A gaming monitor is designed to display games with smooth motion and advanced features like HDR (high dynamic range). As such, gaming monitors offer higher refresh rates, faster response times, brighter panels, and additional features, such as adaptive sync, that you won't find in typical productivity monitors.

For casual use, a standard monitor with 1080p or QHD resolution, a basic LED panel, and a 60Hz refresh rate is fine. But if you play fast-paced games, you should invest in a gaming monitor that supports at least 120Hz. Monitors that use OLED, QLED, and Mini LED panels are also better suited for games since they deliver brighter, higher contrast images than basic LED screens. If your PC is powerful enough to handle higher resolutions, a 4K gaming monitor is also a good option since it'll deliver a sharper image.

Should you buy an ultrawide monitor?

Several monitors on sale for Prime Day feature an ultrawide design, giving you more horizontal space than a standard 16:9 or 16:10 monitor. This type of screen can be great for multitasking, productivity, and immersive gaming, but it takes up more desk space and usually costs more than a standard display. It's best for shoppers who want extra screen space without using two monitors.

Is Prime Day a good time to buy a computer monitor?

If you've been meaning to buy a new computer monitor, Prime Day is a great time to do so. The event is packed with good deals on monitors from top brands like Samsung, LG, Asus, Dell, and Alienware. That said, there are always a handful of mediocre deals to be wary of, but my recommendations cover notable discounts from quality brands.
